“Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.” - Proverbs 31:28 (NIV)
The Client That Changed Everything
Today, I joked that one of my longest-standing clients just hit her two-year milestone. She’s small, full of energy, and keeps me busier than any business ever could.
When I asked her how my services have been... my motherhood services, my cooking services, my hair-styling services... she gave me that same sweet little smile that melts my heart every time. And in that moment, the Holy Spirit whispered...
“This is the work that matters most."
Because before I’m Tatiana Holmes, the Divine Dream Creator, I’m a wife and a mommy. Motherhood has been the most refining, rewarding, and revealing assignment of all.
Your Home Is Your First Ministry
Entrepreneurship can make you believe that visibility equals value. That the more you produce, post, or perform, the more you’re fulfilling purpose. But the truth is, your first ministry is at home.
Your marriage. Your children. Your household atmosphere. That’s the foundation God looks at before He enlarges your platform. The same God who gave you a business vision also entrusted you with the people closest to you.
He cares just as much about how you treat them as He does about how you serve your clients.
The Fruit of Faithfulness
The Holy Spirit has been teaching me that faithfulness looks different in every season when it comes to faith and family in kingdom entrepreneurship. Some seasons, obedience means launching the thing. Other seasons, obedience means logging off early to tuck your kids in.
When we treat home as sacred ground, everything else begins to flow from that same oil of peace and order. Because if you’re neglecting what’s in your house, you’re missing the first layer of legacy.
You can’t pour excellence into your brand if your cup at home is empty. You can’t build Kingdom impact publicly while chaos reigns privately. Legacy isn’t built in moments of applause. It’s built in the unseen moments of presence... wiping tears, packing lunches, praying over your family, choosing patience instead of frustration.
The Divine Balance of Stewardship
For years, I thought balance meant giving equal time to everything. But God showed me that balance in the Kingdom looks like alignment. It’s asking daily:
Lord, what deserves my focus today? Who needs my presence right now? Where do You want me to pour?
Sometimes the answer is your business. Sometimes it’s your spouse or your kids. And sometimes, it’s you... resting, healing, being refilled so you can serve from overflow, not emptiness.
That’s stewardship. That’s alignment. That’s Kingdom order.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for the gift of family and the sacred call to steward my home well. Teach me to carry the same oil of excellence into my house that I pour into my business. Help me honor my spouse, nurture my children, and prioritize Your presence above performance. Let everything I build, from my kitchen table to my Kingdom brand, bring You glory. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Rooted Reminder
Legacy doesn’t start with your platform, it starts with your presence. Before God expands your reach, He strengthens your roots. So build with balance, love with intention, and remember: home is holy work.
Faith and Family in Kingdom Entrepreneurship
For Kingdom entrepreneurs, this reflection is a reminder that excellence begins with stewardship. Building a Spirit-led business doesn’t mean neglecting your family. It means allowing the same oil of creativity, structure, and love to pour into both.
