Scripture Anchor
“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.” – Luke 16:10
The Hidden Test of Integrity
When we think about building a Kingdom business, it’s easy to picture the big things like a website launch, a full client roster, or that breakthrough sales month. But Scripture reminds us that before God entrusts us with much, He first watches how we handle the little.
Obedience and integrity start in the unseen moments:
The quiet “yes” when no one is watching.
The decision to steward one client like they’re one hundred.
The choice to honor God with our time, finances, and creativity even when results feel small.
This is where faithfulness is forged.
Practical Ways to Practice Faithfulness in the Little Things
Here are real-life examples of what obedience in the small looks like for Christian entrepreneurs:
Honor deadlines and commitments. Excellence in free work trains you for excellence in paid work.
Steward your finances well. Budget wisely, tithe from your first sale, and treat every dollar as God’s resource.
Show up consistently. Create content and serve faithfully, even when engagement is low.
Choose integrity over shortcuts. A “quick win” built outside of God’s alignment won’t last.
Each act of obedience and faithfulness in the little things builds spiritual muscle, preparing you for the weight of bigger assignments.
Why It Matters for Kingdom Builders
Integrity in small things isn’t just about discipline. It’s about trust. If God can trust you to steward the hidden, He can trust you to steward the harvest.
When we cut corners, we don’t just shortchange ourselves... we shortchange God, the CEO of our vision. But when we obey quickly and honor Him in the little, we invite His favor, anointing, and provision for the much.
I wrote about this topic more in a previous piece called, "Shortchanging God vs Showing Up Fully."
Rooted Reflection
Maybe you’ve been praying for “more” ... more clients, more opportunities, more growth. But could it be that God is waiting for you to be faithful with what’s already in your hands?
Your next level may be hidden inside your current level of obedience.
Lord, teach me to be faithful in the small moments. Help me resist the temptation to do “just enough” and instead choose obedience that honors You as the CEO of my vision.
